  • Who organizes SocialNext: Ottawa?

    SocialNext: Ottawa is part of a larger event series organized by SocialNext, led by CEO Mike Morrison. Our events take place in cities across Canada, including Calgary, Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver, and online. We are an independent organization focused on providing cutting-edge education and professional development for marketing professionals, helping them navigate the ever-changing digital landscape.

  • Do you offer refunds?

    Please note that SocialNext: Ottawa tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person.

    TRANSFER POLICY

    Tickets can be transferred to another person at no additional cost. To initiate a transfer, click "View and manage your order online" on your original ticket order. Please note: No ticket transfers will be accepted after January 25, 2025.

    Terms and Conditions for All SocialNext: Ottawa Attendees

    By participating in the SocialNext: Ottawa Conference scheduled for January 29 and 30, 2025, in Ottawa, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Before purchasing your ticket, please review these terms and conditions and confirm your agreement.

    REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS:
    All SocialNext: Ottawa ticket purchases are final sale. Tickets may be transferred to another person, but refunds will not be provided under any circumstances. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to this policy. Please confirm the event details, including title, time, and location, before completing your purchase.

    SOCIALNEXT: OTTAWA CODE OF CONDUCT:
    SocialNext: Ottawa is committed to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled without a refund at the sole discretion of the conference organizers. Additionally, conference organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion and without refund, to expel from the event anyone whose behavior disrupts the conference or other attendees.

    PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE:
    SocialNext: Ottawa may capture photos and videos of conference activities for use in promotional materials, on its website, and across its social media platforms. By attending the event, you agree to the use of your likeness in such materials in perpetuity. If you have concerns about this release, please email: info@socialnext.ca.

    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
    SocialNext and its affiliates will not accept liability for any damages, personal injury, or loss of personal property incurred by attendees or accompanying persons as a result of attending SocialNext: Ottawa or any related events.

    CANCELLATION DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the case of an event cancellation due to factors beyond our control (including, but not limited to, severe weather, public health orders, venue safety issues, or other uncontrollable factors), SocialNext: Ottawa will be rescheduled for a future date. Refunds will not be provided, but your ticket will remain valid for the new date.

    COVID-19 AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES:
    By attending SocialNext: Ottawa, you voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, including exposure or contracting such illnesses. SocialNext and its presenting partners will not be liable for any damages or losses related to COVID-19 or any other illness. Policies concerning communicable diseases are subject to change at the discretion of SocialNext and/or local public health authorities. All attendees must follow the guidelines set by event organizers and local authorities. At our discretion, attendees who fail to comply may be expelled from the event without refund.

  • Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

    Yes, tickets can be transferred to another person. If you need to arrange a ticket transfer, please reach out to us. Please note: No ticket transfers will be accepted after January 25, 2025.

    Yes, accessibility is a top priority for us, which is why SocialNext: Ottawa is hosted at Bayview Yards.

    The venue has implemented several improvements to ensure a fully inclusive and accessible environment for all attendees, including:

    Upgraded signage and infrastructure for easier navigation.

    Automatic door operators for independent access to all areas of the building.

    Gender-neutral washrooms with changing tables.

    Assistance alarms in accessible washrooms for urgent help if needed.

    Enhanced lighting for improved security monitoring.

    Bilingual defibrillators on each floor.

    Four wheelchair-accessible meeting spaces in the form of phone booths.

    These features ensure that all guests can enjoy the event comfortably and safely.

  • How Do I Get To SocialNext: Ottawa

    SocialNext: Ottawa will be held at Bayview Yards, located at:

    7 Bayview Station Rd
    Ottawa, ON K1Y 2C5

    Cycling: Bayview Yards is conveniently situated near the Ottawa River Pathway and other major cycling routes. Ample bike racks are available at the front and back of the building year-round.

    Transit: The venue is just 600 meters from Bayview Station, which serves multiple bus routes and the O-Train.

    Driving: There are 50 parking spaces along Bayview Station Road offering 2-hour free parking, and 27 spaces along Stonehurst and Burnside with 1-hour free parking. Bayview Yards also provides free on-site parking in a gravel lot.

  • Where can I view the full schedule of events?

    We are currently finalizing the schedule and will release it in the weeks leading up to SocialNext: Ottawa. It will be posted online and in our event app as soon as it becomes available.

  • Can I volunteer for SocialNext: Ottawa

    SocialNext: Ottawa offers limited volunteer opportunities. Please complete this form.

  • What should I bring?

    Please bring your confirmation (either on your phone or printed), and your ID. We also recommend you bring something to take notes with, your business cards, and a water bottle.

  • Will there be refreshments available for purchase?

    Our incredible food and beverage sponsors will provide complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day. To help reduce our environmental impact, we encourage you to bring your own water bottle and/or coffee mug. You’ll also have the option to purchase lunch from us or bring your own, depending on your preference.

  • Can I purchase a ticket at the door?

    Sorry, we do not sell tickets at the door.

  • I don't work in the public sector or non-profits, but I work in marketing. Is SocialNext: Ottawa still relevant for me?

  • What does my SocialNext: Ottawa ticket include?

    Your ticket includes access to all speaker sessions and our after-party. When you arrive, you'll receive your lanyard and a welcome package. Throughout the day, you'll receive complementary snacks and beverages from our incredible sponsors. Lunch is not included, but you can pre-purchase one from us, or bring your own.
